They have a lot of religion they could be practicing, like administering to the poor and sick, which incidentally is part of the purpose of the health care law, but no, they are outside the supreme court praying that this bill be over turned:
A - Because everyone that can has to contribute.
B - But must importantly that the law does not allow them the right to interfere in women’s reproductive rights.
They are praying to take way many of the benefits, which will help those such as have pre-existing conditions. It will help many whose lives have been shattered by insurance companies. It will help employees maintain job independence. It doesn’t help me because I go to Chinese herbalist but I wouldn’t pray it away for those that can benefit.
Well on this Paul says: “We then that are the strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.” Romans 15: 1
Now I’m not pulling some abstract verse about stars, the Beast666 or Magog, this directly commands the believers to implement the health care law and not to fight it. OMG! Obama is a Christian! These hypocrites are doing the bidding of Mammon, paid by Mammon’s disciples – perhaps, the Koch brothers?
What does Jesus have to say on this matter? This, to them, is God’s word and what they claim to live by. I believe if questioned Jesus would say: “Judge not, that you be not judged thereby. For by the judgment you pronounce you will be judged and the measure you give will be the measure you receive. Why do you see a speck in your brother’s eyes but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say, ‘Let me take a speck out your eye,’ when there is a log in your own eye? YOU HYPOCRITE, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brothers eye.” Matthew 7:1 – 5
It seems Jesus is saying you got bigger issues to deal with than harping on your brothers little flaw so like – GET A LIFE!
I close with a thought from Gore Vidal: “I do not accept the authority of any state – much less one founded as was ours upon the free fulfillment of each citizen - to forbid me, or anyone , the use of drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, sex with a consenting partner or, if a woman , the right to an abortion. I take these rights to be absolute, and should the few persist in their efforts to dominate the private lives of the many, I recommend force as a means of changing their minds.”
