It seems that Breathing-while-black is now getting it's share of airtime around the nation. Things that some folks may have thought were rare are getting media coverage.
In the latest scenario, the Newport Beach PD went all Skip Gates on LA Angels Centerfielder Torii Hunter earlier today, in his own home. Over the fold, ESPN has the story.

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Angels right fielder Torii Hunter had a frightening encounter with police at his Newport Coast home on Wednesday afternoon, when two Newport Beach officers entered the house and escorted him upstairs -- with guns drawn -- so he could show them identification.
The incident began when Hunter, who did not play in the Angels' final exhibition game at Dodger Stadium, accidentally triggered his home's alarm upon entering. A dispatcher phoned his wife's cell phone, but his wife was in Texas and didn't answer the call.
Torii doesn't even seem annoyed. I'm annoyed for him. But hey, it is what it is. Not sure how long it's been since someone broke into my house then laid down on the couch to watch TV, but whatever.
"After a while, the guy told me, 'I'm a big Angels fan. I watch you all the time,' " Hunter said. "I'm like, 'Come on, man.' "
The officer was a big fan, but thought hey, he just might have broke into some guy's house to watch TV. I guess that's possible.
Have a good night, all.
