...and, we're back!! :D
Well, yours truly hasn't changed too much, but the technology that will create/enable this diary series (and future Keith Olbermann diaries if he lands someplace where I can see him) HAS changed. In efforts to economize & cut down expenses without sacrificing too much, we've decided to get rid of our cable service for a couple of Roku systems & a much faster & better intertubz connection. We didn't watch that much "normal" TV, and what we do watch is either streamed live or is available the next day on the new systems we have. He helped me find a very promising reliable online live streaming of TRMS; I've checked it out a few times & am happy with it. So, as long as the intertubz holds itself together, and we have power, this diary shouldn't be affected. So, tonight's diary is the "test run" for how this new system goes! :D
Let's get historical for past April 23rds. On this date in 1954, Hank Aaron of the Milwaukee Braves hit the first of his 755 major-league home runs in a game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Aaron's career total is second only to Barry Bonds, but I'm sure Mr. Aaron's homers were not influenced by "performance enhancers." On this date in 2010, the "Show Me Your Papers" state Governator Jan Brewer signed the "Show Me Your Papers" legislation into law.
How much have y'all missed SPARK?! :D I have a feeling that not even this idea would get people in this country to quit smoking. Ladies, how many of your mother's would've done this to see you be prom queen?! How 'bout those French? Finally, welcome to the world of "higher education," everybody. *&^%$#@!
On with The Rachel Maddow Show!
Well, it would appear a Daily Kos bug bit me on the hind quarters again. There was a blip, and all my diary stuff that I wrote while seeing the show went into the Bermuda Triangle of the Intertubz, but I remember most of what I said, so I'll put my thoughts in the comments. *&^%$#@!
