ok, so the speech could've gone over better. maybe R-Money just needs a little assistance from the peanut gallery experts:
Liberals are trying to mock Romney for his outreach to the black community, in particular his speech before the NAACP. Before they join in the mockery there's something the black community should know... (The Looking Spoon)
hmm ... i might've left out the
"brainwash" line, but what wingnut talking point about african americans would be complete without it?
Hope you are distributing that picture far and wide....Freepers should help. (hoosiermama)
So....why did MITT say in his speech that the GOP has a mixed ? (I think it was another word) record on civil rights???? It is ABOUT TIME they start spouting the truth to these slaves of the Democrats!!!! (goodnesswins)
People, black or any other, who vote for Obama aren’t capable of that type of introspective thought. What you see as subservience to government, they see as their “just due”, with a lot of “stickin’ it to the rich” thrown in for good measure. (workerbee)
I fear it will mean nothing. In th community in question, “Civil Righst” begin with “ Pay to the order...” and come printed on government paper. (muir_redwoods)
to be fair, not everyone's on board, though:
Mitt should stay away from that one too because running his mouth about it (lying about it) in 08 got him into trouble (cripplecreek)
There's no question that George Romney was a strong supporter of Civil Rights and Martin Luther King Jr. However, Mitt said in 07 that he saw his father march with MLK, something that never happened. Using this photo would only serve to give his opponents the opportunity to bring this misstatement (repeated several times) up again. (drjimmy)
