Ok, ok. Check it out. Now that Peggy Noonan and Sarah Palin are talking up their sister in arms, Condi, as Mitt's newest BFF... I got to thinking. He could do a whole lot better.
I mean -- sure she's got great legs and all, but think of the baggage, dude. So let's deconstruct this for a second.
Condi offers a major sea change in thinking for the The Base tm they will quickly embrace. How you gonna call them racist now, huh? But you know in their hearts they ain't feeling it. Nah... you need someone they can really bond with. Someone they can go to war with. Someone who can rally the troops. Someone like Sarah, only more edgy, more colorful... ok...someone who will make Obama look more like his mother than his father.... Someone with a PROVEN track record of winning elections (sorry Alan Keyes...sit down, we ain't talking about you) . Someone with a REMARKABLE military career. (sorry Colin Powell ...sit down, you're days are over...play with your Volvo) Someone who KNOWS guns and loves the Constitution (Sorry..will someone hit Nuge with a tranc dart?) Someone whose life is an OPEN BOOK so we can avoid those pesky reporters digging up old skeletons (Newt? Seriously? How did you even get in here?)... Someone who can hit the ground running and take no prisoners (Sorry, Christie... I said "running")... Someone who could be a candidate in 2020. Not hind sight...but in the future! Someone who could generate crazy, awesome ratings (based on the comments, I have to admit Orly Taitz would be Crazy Awesome in that department, but ... can we be serious for a minute?)
And here's the icing on the cake! Someone who can bring diversity to the ticket. Geographic Diversity... Someone who can deliver Florida! Ladies and Gentlemen I give you Romney's ideal running mate for 2012....
Allen West!
Follow that link and you will see I am not the first person to seriously entertain this notion. Romney isn't dismissing it, either. So... here's what I think we do next....
Wait...wait... come back... I'm serious.... come back..... c'mon.....
Just promise me you will think about it ... ok?
