Woozles always get their revenge. This song is sure to make the Romney Campaign reassess its strategy and chart a new political course.
Over the past few days, the campaign has experienced serious difficulty in justifying its pick of Paul Ryan as the Vice Presidential nominee and fighting off groups of angry seniors in battleground states like Florida, Pennsylvania, and Iowa - states with the highest number of senior citizens, if I recall correctly - to explain draconian cuts in Medicare and other social welfare programs. But fighting dog lovers and animal rights groups? The Romney Campaign is doomed.
To paraphrase a great political philosopher Yogi Berra, "It's over."
As reported this evening in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, a brand new song was released today by the punk rock/new wave band Devo
The quirky punk rock band DEVO became famous in the 1980s after recording a song called "Whip It." This year's presidential election has put the Northeast Ohio natives back on the cruelty beat with a song called "Don't Roof Rack Me, Bro!" which satirizes GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney for strapping his Irish Setter to the roof of his car during a 1983 family vacation.
For those who haven't already heard the story, Romney's dog had an accident during the 12-hour ride to Canada and had to be hosed off by the GOP presidential candidate. Although the Romney family says the dog, named Seamus, enjoyed travel on the car's roof, the incident upset animal rights advocates. A group called Dogs Against Romney on Wednesday released the song penned by DEVO co-founder Gerald Casale.
The tune is being released in conjunction with a mobile game titled "The Crate Escape: Seamus Unleashed" that Dogs Against Romney plans to launch on August 26, which is both National Dog Day and the day before the Republican National Convention starts.
A Romney campaign spokesman declined comment on the song.

DEVO - Don't Roof Rack Me, Bro! (Seamus Unleashed) by

You can listen to the song above and read the lyrics here
DON'T ROOF RACK ME, BRO! (SEAMUS UNLEASHED)
CHORUS
Don't roof rack me, bro'
Gotta let me go
Don't roof rack me, bro'
Put me down on the ground!
Don't roof rack me bro'
Man, I told you so
Don't roof rack me bro'
Now the brown's comin' down
Seamus Seamus please come back
Your former master is on the attack
If he was honest and told the truth
He'd go to jail for what he did to you
Seamus, why did he make you ride outside?
Dogs don't argue and dogs don't lie
You try to please us. You don't ask why
But when your master betrayed your trust
I wish you'd lost it, just that once
Seamus, why did you have to go away? Hey, hey, hey
(I hear you howlin')
CHORUS
Don't roof rack me, bro'
Gotta let me go
Don't roof rack me, bro'
Put me down on the ground!
Don't roof rack me bro'
Man, I told you so
Don't roof rack me bro'
Now the brown's comin' down
Your master's story seems air-tight
But somethin' about him isn't right
He'll say anything to win the race
Wish you could rise up from your grave
And tell the world
How his smile hides
The soul of an angry little man
Seamus Seamus please come back
Your master's pigged-out on Super-pacs
If he was honest and told the truth
He go to jail for what he did to you
Seamus, why do the bad guys seem to win? It's a sin.
(I hear ya howlin')
CHORUS
Don't roof rack me, bro'
Gotta let me go
Don't roof rack me, bro'
Put me down on the ground!
Don't roof rack me bro'
Man, I told you so
Don't roof rack me bro'
Now the brown's comin' down

In a speech that he gave only yesterday, President Obama brought up the infamous trip that Seamus had to endure in 1983.
Every dog has its day!
