Welcome, friends. The purpose of this regular series is to promote enthusiasm and action among Daily Kos members. Romney will very likely out-fundraise President Obama. However, we believe that we can still win if (1) we can remain competitive financially, and (2) we volunteer our time and energy (GOTV, canvassing, phonebanking, LTE, ...).

Today is Sunday, and a well earned day at home and off the campaign trail for the President and his family.
President Barack Obama, along with first lady Michelle Obama and their two daughters, Sasha and Malia, walked across Lafayette Square on an overcast Sunday in the nation's capital to attend mass at St. John's Episcopal Church.
From CNN Political Ticker
The centerpiece of Governor Romney's entire economic plan is a new five trillion dollar tax cut. A lot of it going to folks like me. A lot of it going to the wealthiest Americans.
His new running mate, Congressman Ryan, put forward a plan that would let Governor Romney pay less than 1% in taxes each year.
That's a pretty good deal, just paying 1% in taxes, you're making millions of dollars. Now here's the kicker, they expect you to pick up the tab.
Gov Romney's tax plan would actually raise taxes on middle class families with children by an average of two thousand dollars a year.
Now this is not my analysis. This is the analysis of independent economists whose job it is to analyze these plans. Every media outlet's checked on the numbers here and their estimate is that it would cost you an extra two thousand dollars.
Not to grow the economy,
not to reduce the deficit,
not to make sure that our schools are working well,
or we're building roads
or strengthening the middle class - all this would be just to give another tax cut to folks like Gov Romney.
It would give the average person who is making more than 3 million dollars a year another two hundred and fifty thousand dollars in tax cuts.
Now, Gov Romney and Congressman Ryan will be here in NH on Monday, so you can tell them if you think this is fair.
And you should ask him "How do you think that is going to grow the economy again? How is that going to strengthen the middle class?"
Look, we have tried this kind of trickle down snake oil before.
It didn't work then.
It won't work now.
It's not a plan to create jobs.
It's not a plan to reduce our deficit.
It's not a plan to strengthen our economy.
It's not a plan to strengthen the middle class.
It won't work.
We're moving forward
They want to take us backward
That's the choice in this election
And that's why I'm running for a second term.
This popped up on my facebook page this morning, I liked it:

If you think Mitt Romney should come clean on his taxes, go
here and sign on to Jim Messina's letter to the Romney campaign asking for five years of tax returns.
The new Obama campaign ad:
If you read ericf's wonderful diary,
Joe Biden, the long walk last night, you may, like me, want to express support and thanks for the work and the heart of our VP. Here's one way:
And here is Joe answering his GOP critics who were simply outraged over his remarks in Danville, VA:
And I have to include this one just because I think he is so sexy when he gets this wound up and righteous!
9:45pm Just lifted this from the comments where Shockwave posted it. Simply beautiful.
