Five years after filing a civil suit in Israel for the death of their daughter at the hands of an IDF member who crushed her to death with a bulldozer, the Israeli Justice system finally, and for the second time, determined that Rachel Corrie was solely responsible for her own death.
It only took Ariel Sharon's first "investigation" about a month to come to that conclusion. Corrie's parents have been travelling back and forth to Israel for over two years now, filing a suit in Israel's civil courts to reopen the case.
How much were they "suing" the State of Israel for, for the murder of their daughter?
$1.00 in damages, plus legal expenses.
Israel will have none of that. Strangely, since for years now they have been saying that they did nothing wrong, the bulldozer driver gave his testimony from behind a screen. One would think that an innocent man would eagerly want to proclaim his lack of culpability.
Say what you will about China, but at least, in Tiananmen Square, the tank driver, whose vision was also, presumably, "limited", did not choose to run over and crush to death a protester:
I guess that distinguishes them from the Israelis.
