John Nichols of the Nation Magazine unearthed the 2011 Janesville Labor Day Parade video held on September 5, 2011.
In that video (below here) Paul Ryan and his "Ryan for Congress" Campaign staff campaigned for re-election by marching in the Janesville Labor Day Parade.
Labor Day is a Federal Holiday that was enacted in 1894 after the nationwide Pullman strike ended. Congress passed a law making Labor Day a holiday in the District of Columbia and the territories as a tribute to all workers and it was meant to honor wage-earners.
Politicians have been campaigning in Labor Day parades for decades and campaigning at Labor Day Parades is no exception for Paul Ryan who, along with his wife, campaigned for Ryan's re-election to Congress.
Watch the video and you'll see Paul Ryan's wife, Janna Little Ryan, became bitter, angry and condescending to an American worker who dared to ask Paul Ryan questions pertaining to Minimum Wage laws. Paul Ryan got so pissed off he asked the laborer if he would like Ryan to give him "candy or a Packer's Schedule."
Time Stamp 0:32
Janna Little Ryan, with her haughty smile, belittled the voter as she nodded her head up and down like a robot thus dismissing the voter's concerns regarding Wages in America as if he is a door-to-door solicitor says "have a nice day."
But, what is worse than Janna Little Ryan's pompous attitude was the reaction of Rep. Paul Ryan who mocked the concerns of the voter and said, "Do you want some candy heeehe" then giggled as he looked at Janna for approval of his rude, entitled, smug behavior, then turned back to the voter and says "do you want a Packer's schedule?"
Paul Ryan's staff are wearing "Ryan for Congress" shirts so Ryan was clearly at the parade to campaign, yet, when voters asked him questions he became a rude, arrogant asshole.
Ryan's behavior on this video proves that Ryan doesn't give one damn about the American worker and does not feel he has to answer questions to anyone who 'sees things differently' than Paul Ryan. Paul Ryan is not worthy of being Vice President of the United States.
Paul Ryan's statement statement following his participation in that 2011 Labor Day Parade in Janesville, WI:
On Labor Day, we take time to celebrate the accomplishments of American workers, entrepreneurs, and all those who make up and contribute to our nation’s inspiring economy. As we recognize centuries of American ingenuity and innovation, we do so conscious of the grim economic news and with an acknowledgement that the President’s policies have failed and we need to chart a new course.
What BS, Ryan didn't even take time to answer legitimate wage concerns of a voter while Ryan was campaigning in the September 5, 2011 Labor Day Parade.
Ryan had a bang-up August & September 2011.
August 25, 2011 Paul Ryan threatens constituents with arrest and investigation if they protest his Wisconsin office.
September 7, 2011: Paul Ryan had three people arrested for daring to ask him questions during a Townhall event at the Rotary Club.
Here is a September 9, 2011 (4days after Labor Day) where Paul Ryan laughs at a 71 year old man who just got arrested at a Paul Ryan event for daring to challenge Ryan on Ryan's definition of the word "Entitlements"
It is deeply disturbing that Paul Ryan laughed and said, "I hope he’s taking his blood pressure medication.”
It is also very troubling that Paul Ryan has a habit of having people arrested for daring to exercise their First Amendment Right. Paul Ryan is an asshole.
Currently, Paul Ryan is running, simultaneously for Vice President and Congress ... which is legal in Wisconsin. His Twitter feed and his updated Ryan for Congress website indicates he will once again march in Janesville Labor Day Parade tomorrow.
The blurb on his Ryan for Congress website:
Putting an end to over-spending in Washington is the key to balancing our budget. This is why I’ve been pushing for years to enact budget reforms to curb wasteful pork-barrel spending and to reform entitlements.
Volunteer to help the campaign by joining our impact team to keep Paul in office where we need him!
Paul Ryan putting an end to over-spending is a joke since he voted for all of the Bush Tax cuts. Paul Ryan voted for two wars ignoring that Taxes pay for wars and Paul Ryan voted for the unfunded donut hole Bush put in Medicare ... so ... a big yawn to Ryan's self-proclaimed concern on over-spending.
Speaking of the Bush Tax Cuts that Paul Ryan voted for, here is a 2003 video where Dick Cheney told Tim Russert Bush Tax Cuts make up 25% of the Deficit.
I should also point out, that the night President Obama was inaugurated, January 20, 2009, Paul Ryan held a 4 hour meeting with Frank Luntz and other Congressional Republicans and literally plotted to sabotage the U.S. Economy.
The Labor Day video, taken last year, of Paul Ryan shows Ryan doesn't give a sh!t about American workers or their wages.
So, we have, on the GOP ticket, Ryan who literally plotted to sabotage the U.S. Economy and shows no concern over worker's wages in America. And Mitt Romney who has said these things:
ROMNEY: (to a woman who lost her home in Isaac Flood) "Go home and call 211"
ROMNEY: "Corporations are people too."
ROMNEY: (on wage gap) "Those things should only be discussed in quiet rooms"
ROMNEY: (refers to America as a Company) "This Company"
Both Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney are pathological liars and assholes who have proven with their own words and actions that they could not care less about Americans and they are not worthy to be in charge of having anything to do with writing "the People's" laws.
