Last night I checked our voice mail message. One of them happened to be from the RNC and the Romney campaign inviting us to the ""Victory Rally" this Sunday which includes an appearance by Mit Romney. Now, not a lot of you know that my husband is a Republican, so that is why we received that robocall.
Okay, they've done robocalls before, so I wasn't totally surprised, but when I opened up the Denver Post today, what I saw seemed like a bit of desperation on their part.
There, on the bottom of the FRONT PAGE of the Denver Post was an ad asking people to attend this "victory rally."
The reason I find this so extraordinary is that, because Colorado is a swing state we have also seen many visits by President Obama. And quite frankly, I have not seen the Obama campaign go to these type of lengths to get people to their rallies. Usually there is an article in the free press that he is coming to town and then, as I've seen, crowds of people swamp the OFA offices for tickets. No robocalls, no huge, expensive ads.
Colorado is still locked in a very tight race. The Obama campaign has a great grassroots team here in the state, but they can always use more help. Even if you're out-of-state you can make calls to undecided voters.
