The meetup for kossacks who are in DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland (and anyone else who can manage to get there) is this Saturday, Oct. 13th, at Union Station DC, beginning 4pm. I plan to stay till 7:30pm, so if anyone can't get there by 4pm, we'll meet up later.
I've sent my contact information out in a kosmail to everyone who expressed interest in coming. So check your kosmail!
For those who don't use kosmail a lot, I need to explain some things about it. First of all, you can't send messages to more than one person at a time. So I just sent out 30+ kosmails.
If you didn't get a kosmail and you think you might be coming, send me a kosmail.
Many of you are in either the Maryland Kos and/Virginia Kos groups. The trouble with sending kosmails to the groups is that you won't see that you have a message unless you specifically go into your group page. So please check your group pages before Saturday for updates.
Since the area is kind of big, I'd like to exchange cell phone numbers. I sent mine out in the kosmails.

See below the squiggle for other information about the meetup.
We meet at 4pm at the food court downstairs. Any ideas for where in the food court? Center part near the stairs? Or should we meet in a less crowded part near Johnny Rockets? After we meet, we can chat, and when we get hungry, eat in the food court.
We can pull tables together and move around to talk with each other. This way, we'll be able to talk with more people.
Everyone can buy the food they want to buy, eat earlier or a little later. If you're on a tight budget or special diet, you can even bring your own meal.
Here is a directory of places to buy food at Union Station:

Then later on, for those of us who can stay longer, we can go to the Center Court Cafe and have coffee and/or dessert -- or dinner for those who are still hungry.
One other thing to discuss. Should we wear orange? If a even a few of us are wearing orange, it will make it easier for others to find us. I realize that orange isn't everyone's color and you might not have it in your wardrobe. But if you do, consider wearing it that day.
Did I forget anything?
8:22 PM PT: Yellowdog said, please inform people about weekend delays on Metro. Metro says to add 30 minutes to travel time. I would add 45 minutes.
IndieGuy says, The parking garage has a couple thousand spaces for anybody inclined to drive in.
