"Life is that gift from God. I think that even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something God intended to happen."
-- Indiana U.S. Senate candidate Richard Mourdock (R), at a debate tonight with Rep. Joe Donnelly (D).
Well, this was listed as a tossup on TPM, whose "horse race" mentality still even lists PA as a tossup, when even RCP has Obama +5 in PA. They have Mourdock only up +.3, but I'm guessing when local media gets ahold of this, it might seem over. Or maybe the national media wants another rape controversy bite.
7:54 PM PT: Thanks guys, first time on the Rec List, and I wasn't even the first to post this! I think this is an instant ad for Donnelly, but not for Obama, unless we end up going through the rape controversy wringer nationally again. Who knows though, the MSM might get tired of Mitt faking that he has momentum.
7:56 PM PT: News sites have picked this up.

8:01 PM PT: He clearly only favors abortions in the 'life of the mother' cases. This is a huge mistake.

8:25 PM PT: Romney's response is terse and to the point. He'll refuse to comment on anything, including his ad endorsing Mourdock, which is fairly smart.

8:33 PM PT: I would love to stay up and see where this goes, but I have a wife who is due to give birth any minute now, and need to sleep where I can. See, she chose to have our baby. :-) Follow the latest from Mets102
