Okay, I don't wanna beat a dead horse.
I don't.
But I just need to say something . . .
Regardless of whether you think that President Obama just destroyed his Presidency with a lackluster debate performance or whether you think that it doesn't really matter who "won" the debate if 4 years worth of accomplishments can be wiped out by a lying twerp with a big assist from the "media" who declare the "winner" based on "optics" instead of "truth-tics" . . .
There is still one rule that is now and will always be true in any war . . .
Hysterics Have No Place on the Battlefield.
In every battle, there are small victories and defeats.
There are rumors.
There is uncertainty.
There is fear.
There are questionable strategies and bone headed moves.
And yes, there is death. And destruction. And despair.
But no matter . . .
If the battle is still raging and you are a soldier on the field, you do NOT have time to complain.
You don't have the luxury of taking a moment to break down and cry . . . because just that moment could cost you your life.
While the battle rages, your ONLY choice is to fight. If you survive, there will be time enough for war stories, and gripes, score settling, and demotions.
But if you don't survive . . . none of that is going to matter.
I know that because we live in a 24 hour news cycle, it creates the appearance that we have time to "analyze" when in fact we are being fired upon.
We do not.
Fight. Fight. Fight. Fight.
Wipe your tears if you must, but don't stop fighting.
Curse under your breath (or out loud), but KEEP FIGHTING.
There is no time to despair . . . despair is a tool of the enemy.
If we fight, we may still lose. But if we don't fight, we defeat ourselves.
And there is no way in hell I am going to give another damn thing to Mitt Romney . . . he has been given enough.
