On Friday, November 16th, from 7-9 PM I will be hosting my 2nd Quadrennial post-election get together and birthday party.
Please contribute at least a few dollars to the non-profit I am raising funds for, $5 - 10 suggested minimum (what would you pay for this meal?) and as much as you can afford - if it's not possible now, your helping in connecting UPSTREAMTV to other resources is appreciated. I am hoping they will make it to make their own appeal to you and show some videos of the wild Northwoods...
You might remember the first quadriennial birthday event: Bemidji, Bali or Ballot-counting? My IRV fundraiser and birthday party!. This time it's a free feed in the community room and a fundraiser for UPSTREAMTV, the 501 c. 3 non-profit cable access channel through which I was able to produce many of the videos I've posted on DailyKos recently.
Here is the facebook event invite, if you want to RSVP: https://www.facebook.com/events/167482223396816/

After this election, I am sure that many more people know that we need to stay engaged, organize inside the party, and outside - as occupy does, to advance the cause of peace and greater harmony & well being. We'll likely have some short occupy inspired brainstorming, decision-making, loosely organize together to do whatever work we agree must be done to make more of the re-elections of Barack Obama, Congressman Rick Nolan, and the DFL's control of both houses in the state legislature. We will eat some great vegetarian food, and I can begin to plan on a future that feels more bright, moist and hopeful after these long years of avoiding earned income to avoid paying war taxes, and I can invite more people to pursue experiments in extracting themselves, as I did, from the grinding impoverishment of urban materialism in pursuit of food sovereignty, enjoying and protecting our northern forests and water sources, life.
Let me know if you wantto play a larger role in this event, or donate towards the meal, help UPSTREAMTV buy some modern video editing computers & figure out livestreaming, help them pay the rent.
