Well. the wait is over. Alert Letterman.
Foreign Policy Magazine has named its Top Hundred Global Thinkers and weighing in at Number 8 is the Zombie-Eyed Granny Starver Himself, Paul Ryan.
Barely edging out the WI "math wiz" is President Obama at Number 7. But beating them both at number 6 is Malala Yousafzai (a 15 year old heroine, but global thinker?). Number one is Aung San Suu Kya, Burmese heroine.
Apparently, nothing can dim Ryan's reputation in the Village world of FP -- not his "Plan" that never added up, not his lie-stuffed RNC speech, not his beatdown by Biden. Not that, as Paul Krugman pointed out:
What he actually offered was a plan to hurt the poor and reward the rich, actually increasing the deficit along the way, plus magic asterisks that supposedly reduced the debt by means unspecified.
Here are some that were beaten out as "global thinkers" by the failed VP candidate:
George Soros (21); Ai Wei Wei (26); Salman Rushkie (33); and Nouriel Roubini (35).
Oh, and Paul Krugman (34). Yes -- Ryan is 26 slots better than the Nobel laureate -- good to know FP!
And look whom else is on the list -- Dick (39) and Liz (40) Cheney! (Wait -- is this a list of sociopaths?).
I demand to know where are Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity and Brian Kilmeade?
