I saw the most odious ad today. It was "Komen Race for the Cure". They said it was Worlds Largest Anticancer event. It was all women - women's face, women's feet, women's bodies. And what is Susan Komen doing? Advocating for women's deaths.

that little pink ribbon? It is a sign of hate now. There is no way I will support this.
Let me say something short about why they are advocating death for women.
The other diary discussed the fact that this is not going to end funding for abortion. It will end funding for cancer screening and kill women in that manner. Certainly denying early detection of health care to poor women will kill some of them.
Susan Komen Foundations has aligned itself with haters and killers.
"And I fear for the darkness as four Justices anxiously await the single vote necessary to extinguish the light" (Justice Harry A. Blackmun, Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey 505 U.S. 833 (1992)).
This is about how women are murdered by opponents of safe abortion.
In the sixties, every year, thousands of women went to emergency rooms with injuries from desperate, dangerous abortions.
In sixties, every year, two hundred women died from desperate dangerous abortions. These are the ones who were recorded as dying from these acts of helpless, hopeless, self mutilation. You think the lovely Romney girl was not recorded as an abortion death? None of the "nice girls".
Last year nearly 70,000 women died from lack of access to safe abortion. Nearly 70,000. In the entire Iraq invasion the estimates of civilian casualties (not counting those who died from the destruction of the infrastructure as measured in Lancet) are estimated at 100,000.
An Iraqi invasion body count, every year and a half. Iraq war every two years, battled on the bodies of women and their orphan children.
I could start with the eighties and just do every year, every assault. Except that would be a tome that will never end, with the support of Komens and other people who enable terrorists by calling them (snort) advocates of like. In 94, that was their banner year, there were 12 murders and attempted murders. Bomb, arson, stabbing, shooting, anthrax, acid attacks, and gauntlets of hate for women seeking what is a normal part of a woman's reproductive life.
In 2002:
Clayton Waagner may be the most notorious terrorist never to have fired a shot or bombed a building. Waging a brazen criminal campaign against abortion providers, including several anthrax hoaxes last fall, he has come to epitomize the cult of violence that has grown out of the anti-abortion movement. But his case may also signal a long-overdue change in how law enforcement treats crimes against abortion providers.

Two Florida clinics were subject to arson attacks.

In 2006:
On Sept. 11, 2006, the fifth anniversary of the terror attacks that devastated our nation, a man crashed his car into a building in Davenport, Iowa, hoping to blow it up and kill himself in the fire. No national newspaper, magazine or network newscast reported this attempted suicide bombing,

In 2008:
To the anti-abortion movement, standing outside clinic doors and bellowing at patients and staff that they are murderers and whores is simply an effort to "stop the war against America's children." Like most wars, this one has included a host of tactics, from picket lines to blockades, and has gone so far as to include arson, property damage, kidnapping and the murder of providers. The antis call it collateral damage

On April 1, Scott Roeder was sentenced to life in jail for the deliberate killing of Dr. George Tiller last year.

In 2012:
Operation Rescue ..... extremist organisation is creating a database of service providers, their locations, and personal information, which is basically like a Rolodex for stalkers, protesters, and of course readers who will decide to put the violent rhetoric of the anti-choice movement into violent action. Recent years have seen an escalation in violence against reproductive health care providers and this website represents a very real threat, one that appears to be under evaluation by government agencies and law enforcement to determine if it violates the law.

There is no moral ambiguity. These people are murders, aligned with terrorists, to enable them to create state-sanctioned murder.
Call Susan Komen.
How about we make the biggest cancer walk in history the most epic fail? Oh, we can't. The Susan Komen foundation just generated en epic fail far larger than anything we could do. Call them. Explain it.
