I just discovered Frye boots; I think I am late to the party as I am sure a lot of you are well versed with the company, history, and their product line. For some reason, and yes I should have done more research; but I thought they were Made in the USA and that is why they were so expensive, but when they arrived, sure enough to my dismay, I found out that my boots were not made in the USA but in Mexico. So although I like them; they are very comfortable and look great; I would like to know if anyone knows of bootmaker that still produces their product from start to finish in the United States.
P.S. My neighbor saw my boots tonight and asked me if they were Fryes and then launched into a story about how they were the "it" boot in the 60's and 70's! She even tried to find her old pair to show me. She was so enthusastic about them. It was touching.
P.S. Someone on this site mentioned that blankets were still made in the USA and a great one to buy were made in Fairbault Minnesota. Well I purchased one and it was well worth the extra expense. Very well made, and warm too!
