This is a video review of the protest of Friday, May 19 produced by the Chicago Independent Media Center using video from various credited sources. Wish I had one for the weekend, but not yet. The point is, the thousands of citizens in the streets were there for a reason—many reasons, in fact.
UPDATE below the squiggle: Summary of events from Sunday the 20th
In a hurry? Listen to Mr Rozoff in 2nd video. Start at 12:05. He speaks about NATO a couple times in the debate. "Why protest NATO" in a nutshell.

Cliff Notes below the thingy.
[0:15] Healthcare, Not Warfare! My favorite, because of the park setting and the well-spoken woman.
[5:19] Tom Morello and the spontaneous march on Woody Guthrie's 100th birthday.
[10:53]Female bike cop tazers herself???
]14:20] Some brief words re NATO
[14:34] Demand a Moratorium on Foreclosures.
[18:50 ] Street theater about an eviction, with helicopter overhead (too bad they didn’t improvise that into their script … ) and then we see police move in on the living room furniture which has somehow appeared in a bank lobby.
[22:43] Seeds of Peace supplying food to the people marching or protesting, since the 1980s.
[23:43] Robin Hood Tax
[25:25] Seems to be a minute about the poisons in our foods
[26:18] More from the Michigan Ave Bridge march.
- Ten bike cops try to redirect a gazillion marchers, and the Sarge is called a “F***ing idiot.”
- Again we see the NATO banner at the bridge partly torn down by the guy in black with the mohawk haircut.
- Cops trying to get marchers onto the sidewalks. Good luck with that.
- Marchers past big Bank of America windows with not so much as a smudge on the windows. Then Chase bank… Marchers chant at the banks, and at least one gestures (not rudely) to people inside, but no hint of property damage. Few police at these banks.
Thank you for your patience, Have a nice day! (If you have watched the video, you’ll get that.)
