All this unnecessary gnashing of teeth!
Never mind all the scholarly speculation that has consumed lawyers for months. Never mind what Justice Ginsburg said or hinted over the weekend about the disagreements that will ensue when the Supremes hand down their decision on the consitutionality of the individual mandate or even the ACA. Never mind that there are 9 justices appointed by US Presidents who will be making this decision in the near future. You can go home, Supremes, Tim Pawlenty has spoken:
[President Obama's] signature accomplishment, Obamacare, is unconstitutional.
This is said in the context of a 'shrinking' Presidency as (he thinks) he so cleverly described the Obama administration. 'You have to accomplish something, we don't give out ribbons for participation, and he hasn't accomplished anything, because, you know, the only thing he accomplished, Obamacare, is unconstitutional anyway'.
He starts jabbering at around 7:30
The arrogance of the rightwingers never ceases to amaze. President Obama's 'Dreamer Act', is unconstitutional because it circumvented Congress by an executive order. But the ACA, an actual, actually passed by Congress law, is unconstitutional. So what's their definition of unconstitutional? Anything done by President Obama, apparently. And who needs those silly Supremes, if T-Paw has spoken?
