Ms Tia Rachel continues to enjoy her summer holiday so it is my pleasure to provide a safe harbor away from the trials of thinking and tribulations from having your dKos diaries earn nothing but donuts.
The Spoiler Kitty got a dye job.
And you notice that she has the same coloration as the "croissant" below. Actually, does anyone know the official name for the "orange croissant"? I found a website which calls them Vintage Flourish Vector Elements". That sucker just rolls off your tongue, doesn't it.
More below the Vintage Flourish Vector Element....
Tomorrow on the Daily Show we have to suffer through two, yes two comedians, Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis (the Hangover) who undoubtedly will try to out funny Jon Stewart and the stupidity will reign. I just hate it when he has comedians on.
Here is what they are pushing from TDS's promo:
Will Ferrell is a comedian, actor and writer whose many movies include "Elf" (2003), "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" (2004), "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" (2006), "Step Brothers" (2008), "Everything Must Go" (2011) and "Casa de mi Padre" (2012). A veteran of "Saturday Night Live," Ferrell and his friend and collaborator Adam McKay launched the website Funny or Die. They also co-produce the HBO series "Eastbound & Down," in which Ferrell plays a recurring role as car dealer Ashley Schaeffer. Zach Galifianakis is a stand-up comedian and actor who has been seen in "The Hangover" (2009), "Due Date" (2010) and "The Hangover Part II" (2011). Ferrell and Galifianakis co-starred in "The Campaign" (2012), Jay Roach's comedy about a small-town Congressional race.
They are on to promote
The Campaign. There is one review on
IMDB and it hasn't opened yet.
Tonight we have Joseph Steiglitz? The photographer? Sorry blogistas, but I read the date wrong for tonight's guest.
I am definitely looking forward to tonight's Colbert Report and his guest is Dan Gross President of the Brady Campaign. Their website states "After Aurora: "We Don't Want Sympathy; We Want Accountability". WORD.
Here is the Brady Campaign statement on Aurora:
“On behalf of the Brady Campaign, I send our deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and survivors of the mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado.
This tragedy is another grim reminder that guns are the enablers of mass killers and that our nation pays an unacceptable price for our failure to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people. We are outraged. We understand that President Obama has just spoken and so might Mitt Romney.
As someone who has suffered the lasting impact of gun violence, and President of Brady, I can tell you that we don’t want sympathy. We want action. Just this past April 16, the anniversary of the worst mass shooting in American history, 32 victims of gun violence joined us to demand Congress take action to stop arming dangerous people.
Today we are meeting with activists across this country as we continue to call on the American people to add their voice for change through our petition against arming dangerous people at www.bradycampaign.org. We are insistent that our elected leaders take action to prevent future tragedies. Political cowardice is not an excuse for evasion and inaction on this life-and-death issue.”
And in more good news, today in Maryland a four year old child was left in a relative's car. He found a gun in the car and shot himself in the head. Yes, I truly do believe that guns kill people.
Even Cal Ripken, Jr.'s mother was not safe today from gun violence.
