Results: Georgia SoS | Georgia AP | Texas AP | Texas SoS
7:18 PM PT: Here's where we stand on the remaining races: The GA-09 and GA-12 Republican primaries are all but certain to go to runoffs. In the 9th, Martha Zoller and Doug Collins will advance, as expected. In the 12th, Lee Anderson seems to have a pretty good lock on first with 35%, but there's still potentially a dogfight between Rick Allen (26%) and Wright McLeod (23%), with 71% of precincts counted.
7:21 PM PT: In Texas, there are three outstanding runoffs of interest. The top priority is TX-23 (D), where state Rep. Pete Gallego, the establishment's preferred choice, has a 52-48 lead over ex-Rep. Ciro Rodriguez with 62% counted. The winner will take on GOP freshman Quico Canseco in November. In TX-33 (D), state Rep. Marc Veasey has moved out to a wider 57-43 lead over ex-state Rep. Domingo Garcia, but only 38% of the vote has been tallied there. And in TX-36 (R), ex-Rep. Steve Stockman leads financial advisor Stephen Takach 54-46 with 41% counted. The runoff winner in both of those last two races will be the prohibitive favorite in the general election in the fall.
7:24 PM PT: We'll be checking back in occasionally on these last few remaining races, but otherwise, you guys are on your own! So be excellent to each other.
7:33 PM PT: While we wait:

7:35 PM PT (David Jarman): We've finally gotten an AP call in Georgia: they've called GA-09 as a runoff, with Doug Collins and Martha Zoller advancing (at 42 and 41 respectively, with 17 for Roger Fitzpatrick). While we're talking about Georgia, that challenge to John Lewis in the Dem primary in GA-05 didn't go anywhere; he beat Michael Johnson 80-20.
7:56 PM PT (David Jarman): We've gotten half a call in GA-12. Lee Anderson advances to the GOP runoff, no surprise. The second slot is still up in the air between Rick Allen and Wright McLeod. (They're at 34, 26, and 23.)
8:34 PM PT (David Jarman): It doesn't look like any more ballots have been added, but nevertheless, the AP is finally feeling confident enough to call TX-23. Pete Gallego gets the check mark; he leads Ciro Rodriguez 54-46 with 84% reporting. That has to help Dem chances in the general a smidge, as Gallego has a better reputation for fundraising and campaign intensity than Rodriguez (despite Ciro's previous two stints in the House).
8:45 PM PT (David Jarman): It took until they got to 99% reporting (259 of 261 precincts), but now the AP has called TX-33 for Marc Veasey. He defeats Domingo Garcia 52-48, by about a 1,000 vote margin. (Also, who would have expected coming into tonight, that Gallego would wind up winning by a wider margin than Veasey?)
