I just love to laugh and I had a good one over this story so I thought I would share. Apparently the Tea Party booked a conference at the Venetian in Las Vegas for an event in July of 2010. Judson Phillips' organization booked 1637 rooms and then cancelled them just a few weeks prior and did not pay for the rooms as stipulated in the contract. Despite repeated requests by the hotel, Judson refused to pay. The Venetian took the tea partier and his band to court.
A judge this week ruled against Judson and ordered him to pay the hotel $748,000 which includes interest on the unpaid bill. The best part: The hotel is owned by none other than Sheldon Adelson. Where is bubbanomics when you need him?
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Apparently Judson and his merry band of tea partiers are not the only ones trying to skip out on a bill. The Southern Republican Leadership Conference stiffed the Charleston Place Hotel and has also been sued.
I just love a good laugh in the middle of the day. The entire story can be found here:
