Music is a large part of my life. There are songs that can make me cry at the drop of the hat, songs that make me want to get up and dance, and songs that can express my emotions ten times better than I can find words to do myself. My day doesn't start without music, be it some video that I find on Youtube, something playing on VH1 JumpStart or something else. I can't function properly without my music, just like I can't function without a brief glimpse in my bible to get a scripture to start my day.
I love all genres of music from rap to country and even new age, classical and folk. I've been known to dance to salsa, reggeton, and pretty much anything else that has a beat or has lyrics that I can find myself getting lost in.
More after the squiggle :)
Okay, for someone with varied music tastes some of my favorite artists include: Poets of the Fall, P!nk, Bryan Adams, Celine Dion, Kenney Chesney, Brooks and Dunn, and so many others...to list them all would have to make it one diary in and of itself. But, for now, I am going to share with you the songs that are making up my play list today. They are songs that get me up and moving, get me inspired and encourage me to create things...like writing this diary!
As I mentioned, Poets of the Fall are one of my favorite bands and one of my favorite songs by them is called "Carnival of Rust".
I was originally turned onto the group called Iced Earth eleven years ago, after 9/11, and ultimately fell in love with their tribute song from that time period and their tribute song was titled "When the Eagle Cries," and I share that with you today in memory of those who lost their lives in the attacks on 9/11.
