After catching the segment in which Joe and his guests collectively took President Obama to the woodshed for not having John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Allan West and the rest of the gang over for a slumber party in the tree fort I was hopeful that I would hear some news. Alas, my Senator, Ron Johnson was on. Forward, beyond the orange cheese curd.
After watching the segment I can only despair at the fact that Wisconsin in what can only be compared to a temper tantrum, dismissed Russ Feingold and replaced him with the searing intellect that is Ron Johnson.

A Republican Senator complaining about how government can't work is the epitome of the irony. These guys really know how to create a self-fulfilling prophecy. Note how he keeps hammering the the talking points: Social Security, Medicare, implication of the government oligarchy that is controlling your life, and so on.
I found it interesting that Senator Johnson used the phrase "pick your poison" when referring to plans to reduce the size of government because what he really want is the death of the New Deal and the War of Poverty programs that he see as aiding the welfare queens.
Bob Woodward referred to the relationship as a "permanent divorce court." Good analogy.
When Senator Johnson asked "where is the plan from the Democrats to reduce spending" I wondered if he had been to busy reviewing his talking points from Rush and the CATO Institute to pay attention to what was being discussed last month.
Hopefully in 4 years we can find someone in Wisconsin who knows the Wisconsin Idea did not start with Scott Walker.
The best part of the segment is that it was followed by Barney Frank who said he would be happy to serve in the Senate for the next few months as a temporary replacement to Secretary of Stage Designee John Kerry.
So what do you think? Ron Johnson: New standard bearer for the Republican Party of Trial Balloon Man?
