On January 9 Steveningen posted a video dairy which showed a young Australian tranwoman in transition, in which she incorporated more than 1000 pictures taken over a three year period.
My personal reaction was the following:
Her happiness with herself can be seen growing.
Most of us, of course, don't have facial surgery, so we have to make do with what we have. Confidence in oneself is far more important than the evil "passing" concept.
While hormones do soften one's appearance, growing into oneself...or who one desires to be, is more determinant of happiness, in my opinion.
Friday evening Tamar shared with me a similar video that was posted in August, 2012 by youtube user 20unc06.
I'm a male to female or MTF transsexual who transitioned during graduate school. My channel is about my transition and lots of things that a transexual would experience during the process - whether that's effects of hormones like changes with HRT or dating or finding a job - basically anything that could impact a trans person. And sometimes I like to throw in an occasional transition timeline.
Here is a second transition timeline she created, posted this past November:
Personally my favorite, however, was this one, also posted in November. But I'm a big fan of Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole.
