Unidentified 22 year old man takes loaded AR-15 to local Kroger grocery store in Charlottesville to make a point about his second amendment rights.
Charlottesville police say the man who showed up at a Kroger grocery store with a loaded gun wanted to make a point. On Sunday, an unidentified 22-year-old man carried a loaded AR-15 into the Kroger store on Emmet Street and Hydraulic Road, sparking not only a scare for customers and employees but also a 2nd Amendment debate.
Charlottesville police drew their guns on the man after witnesses reported he brought a gun into the store. They restrained the man to ask him questions, but released him after they confirmed he is not a convicted felon, owned the gun legally and it was not concealed.
Police say he was cooperative and did nothing illegal. Officers did find a note in his pocket spelling out his intent to express his 2nd Amendment rights. Police say they could not release man’s name because he was not arrested.
A bit reminiscent of these two idiots earlier this month in Oregon.

Look, I'm not for banning all guns, but frankly, idiots like this make me want to maybe rethink that position. This idiot needs his guns taken pronto. Only a mentally unbalanced individual would think this behavior is just A-OK!
Responsible gun owners need to make it clear to these morons that this type of behavior is doing them no favors. You want to know why there ARE some people clamoring to ban all guns? This dipshit is a case in point. I'm not saying it's logical or even a good idea, but if you are responsible gun owner, then you and others like you need to step up to the plate and make your voices heard that idiots like this are NOT responsible and that if they behave like this then they deserve to lose their "right" to own these weapons.
This type of behavior is incredibly irresponsible, dangerous and quite frankly nutty. You need to put a stop to it, or we will put a stop to it, and you may not like how we do that. So if you want reasonable reform, step up, make your voices heard and make it clear you do not support this type of idiotic, extreme, irresponsible behavior because it's shitbags like this that will make it MUCH easier for people who do want to take away ALL your guns to do so.
Think about what he did here. What if the clerk in the store had a gun and drew it as soon as the guy walked in? Shootout at the Kroger corral with customers caught in the crossfire? It's completely thoughtless, dangerous and irresponsible. And the note in his pocket suggests he KNEW this and KNEW he might be killed and he did it anyway.
It's idiots like this that DO need to have all their guns taken away, and his behavior makes that very, very clear.
