Today both Ohio and Michigan state legislators have ruled out changing the electoral votes.

Spokesmen for Gov. John Kasich, State Senate President Keith Faber and House Speaker William G. Batchelder told The Plain Dealer this week that they are not pursuing plans to award electoral votes proportionally by congressional district.

The majority leader of the Republican-controlled state senate in Michigan said Tuesday that he questions if it's necessary to change the way the state allocates its electoral votes in presidential elections, The Detroit News reported.
In GOP state Sen. Randy Richardville's view, Michigan's current format -- in which the winner of the popular vote in the state claims all 16 electoral votes — isn't in need of fixing.
"I don't know that it's broken, so I don't know that I want to fix it," said Richardville.
With SUNSHINE shined on it more and more Blue states with Republican controlled legislatures and governors are coming out against the GOP electoral college rigging plan.
First was Virginia, then Florida, and yesterday Wisconsin who are now against changing the rules. Today both Ohio and Michigan have thrown cold water on this vote rigging plan.
All is left is Pennsylvania whose governor wants to change the rules but the Pennsylvania Republican State chair is against it. With the Republican governor having such LOW approval ratings according to the latest Quinnipiac poll that came out yesterday, I suspect in the end he backs off of this scheme because pursuing this means a target on his back in 2014 when he is up for re-election from voters in big cities ie Philadelphia, Pittsburg, etc who would be disenfranchised by his electoral college rigging plan.
We need to stay viligant, however for there are forces ie ALEC who are still pursuing this. However, by shining light on this unfairness we are pushing back against their plans.
