Are you ruddy for some football?
Today is a big day in the world of sports.
There's the team in red from the west coast...
and the team in black from the east coast.
For the first time ever, the coaches of the opposing teams are brothers!
Jim and John Harbaugh
Lots of folks from out of town have gathered in New Orleans for the ultimate gridiron faceoff.
New Orleans is, of course, well known for its party atmosphere and colorful local characters.
At the stadium, everyone is getting ready for the kick-off. The umpires and referees are putting on their uniforms and practicing their hand signals.
Fans in the stands or sitting in front of televisions will be wearing their team's colors, a few rather red-eyed from last night's festivities.
Before the game starts, we'll be regaled with a
live version of the National Anthem.
Pay attention to see if you can tell if it's actually lip-synched.
I'm sure there will also be some exciting moments during the game - perhaps an unexpected interception or a 50 yard touchdown run. When that happens, the crowd will erupt in excitement, cheering wildly!
I bet we'll see at least one endzone dance after a touchdown.
At half-time, there will be a mad rush to the bathroom or to grab a snack, in a hurry to get back to our seats to watch the half-time show.
Whichever team wins, at the end of the day everyone will go home satisfied that two teams played their best for their fans.
Will you be watching the Superbowl today? I am more likely to have an anti-Superbowl kind of day, maybe getting out to one of the birding spots nearby to enjoy the lovely weather and hang out with a few feathered friends.
