Your effort to silence voices critical of President Obama's actions or policies, to me, seems ironic. I claim the right, as a citizen, and as someone who voted for President Obama twice, to hold a dissenting opinion. I would find it dishonest to applaud actions by one president which I denounced from another.
I understand that "conservative" and republican elected officials and their actions can't tolerate scrutiny. I like to think our side can.
I know that cynical ranting and raving isn't going to solve our problems and I never claimed it would.
Neither will marching in lockstep. There are plenty of things to be disappointed with about our President and the Democrats, (I won't make a list, that's a separate discussion) and expressions of disappointment aren't solely the property of smart asses like me. I read them fairly often on the front page.
Deliberately insulting and offensive comments shouldn't be tolerated. But to automatically treat (even biting) criticism as such doesn't communicate the strength of convictions in my estimation, but the fear of dissent.
It's never my intention to be disrespectful here to anybody other than republicans. Please understand that not all contrary opinions are meant to incite.
