In response to the faux outrage I see coming from the Right so often, I've joked that they buy their panties pre-bunched and in bulk to save time and money. Perhaps the fact that reality does indeed have a liberal bias feeds their predilection to see everything as a personal attack. As a result, they often strike first. Pre-emptively, if you will (not a very veiled reference to Iraq).
In light of the Boston Marathon Bombing, I saw a story about Right wing elements looking for screen captures of the left trying to blame the Right for it. Personally, I think that most people are willing to wait for the facts to come in. However, I have noticed many people on the Right have already blamed Muslims, as if they are the only ones who commit acts of terrorism (Oklahoma City, anyone?). Methinks the wingnut doth protest too much.
I have seen headlines of article that I did not read, claiming that Senator Schumer and one member of the 9/11 commission saying that the Boston attack seems to display elements associated with domestic terrorism. Having not read the articles (after all, they are speculation about speculation), I do not know how accurate they are. I would like to point out a few things.
Shortly after President Obama took office, the Department of Homeland Security released a report about the potential for Right wing domestic terrorism. The Right howled, as they do. What they ignored was the fact that the study was conducted when George W. Bush was president.
I would like to point out to the perpetual victim wing nut crowd the following:
The Left does not talk about needing 2nd Amendment remedies when they lose an election.
The Left does not say that the tree of Liberty must be watered by the blood of tyrants from time to time.
The Left does not say that Revolution is a good idea that needs to come about every 20 years or so.
The notion that ours is a government of the people, by the people and for the people came from Abraham Lincoln. This is a man who is considered a traitor by the same people who claim the mantle of the Party of Lincoln. If government truly is of, by, and for the people, then how can it be tyrannical?
