Channeling the Islamophobic delusions of Michele Bachmann, Louie Gohmert (R-TX) on Thursday asserted that the Obama administration's immigration reform efforts are informed by those Muslim Brotherhood members who have great influence in the White House.
In a WND Radio interview, Gohmert railed against Obama's immigration policy, citing the Boston bombing as further evidence of radical Islam's war with America and the need to keep teh Muslims out of America.
It’s very clear to everybody but this administration that radical Islam is at war against us. And I’m hoping either this administration will wake up or a new one will come in at the next election before irreparable damage is done.

Thank God for the moderates that don’t approve of what’s being done. But this administration has so many Muslim brotherhood members that have influence that they just are making wrong decisions for America.
The statement, an obvious attempt to simultaneously play off of Islamophobic fears while casting our brown-skinned president as an evil Muslim, is just one more bit of crazy from GOP Congressional leaders.
However, it's much more than that: it's further evidence of how specialized, gerrymandered Congressional districts pave the way for such incompetent conspiracy theorists to inhabit our highest offices in Washington. Though in the case of Texas, such justification may be mere flattery.
