Marco Rubio, darling of the right (or RINO, depending on who you ask) is trying to thread the needle by sponsoring immigration reform that would boost his credibility in a presidential general election while not destroying his chances in a GOP primary. To that end, he has created a website inviting supporters to tell he and his staff what suggestions they have to improve his proposed legislation. They have received 147 comments so far, and, needless to say, it's ugly.
Virtually every single comment is negative, but here are a few gems that size up the mood rather well...

Secure the border, deport the illegals that are already here, and solitary confinement prison sentences of no less than five years for second offenders... simple.

This Amnesty bill is awful and you should back away from it as you promised you would.
I am appalled that you would associate yourself with the likes of Schumer and Durbin, who hate America and wish to take over using an imported, impoverished electorate. You are naive or just another RINO. Jump before you go down with McCain and Graham.

Illegal is Illegal repatriation should be considered. Why should anyone that has broke the law be given a free pass in this great country. This is exactly what NObama and biteme are hoping for, they will become undocumented Dummycrats. Just say NO..

Withdraw the bill. That is the only "improvement" that makes financial, cultural and environmental sense. Oh yeah, and co-sponsor mandatory E-Verify effective immediately with additional funds to expand access. Give ICE back it's authority for interior enforcement and stop letting criminal illegal aliens back on our streets.

Anyone breaking the law while coming into this country is a criminal. The children of said criminals should not be rewarded with U.S. citizenship under no circumstances, period. Let the parents answer to the children about why they broke the law to come here.

Withdraw this abortion of a bill that destroys the rights, liberties, and culture of U.S. citizens.
Enforce existing law and end all government benefits to illegal aliens.

How to improve this bill. Very simple the illegals are criminals. They broke our laws by sneaking into our Country. They work for nil and send their money back home. We support them. I supported Marco the first time he ran for Senate and also voted for him. This time he has lost my vote and support.
Keep in mind that Rubio's staff has been actively monitoring the site and deleting the most offensive posts. The message to Rubio from GOP constituents is clear - no amnesty, "seal the borders", and initiate mass deportation. Good luck trying to introduce some sanity into today's Republican Party, Sen. Rubio.
