The Pew Research Center’s Global Attitudes Project has conducted surveys in Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Egypt, the Palestinian territories, Tunisia, and Israel asking people about their views on the unrest in Syria.
The results of the surveys indicate that in Egypt, Tunisia, the Palestinian territories, Turkey, and Lebanon there is little support for Western countries and Arab countries sending arms or military supplies to anti-government groups in Syria, while there is moderate support for this in Jordan.
The surveys also indicate that there is deep concern in all the countries where the surveys were conducted that the unrest in Syria could spread to neighboring countries, with the greatest level of concern being in Lebanon and the lowest level of concern being in Turkey.
