Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! Link to your recruitment diary is OK though. |
Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. To join, read this diary and visit the Guild web site to put in an application. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome. |
More below the fold:
In honor of the end of the Midsummer Fire Festival (and not coincidentally, Independence Day) there will be a fireworks spectacular in Booty Bay to celebrate.
For some of us, thanks to time, energy, or budgetary restrictions, it's the only fireworks spectacular we're getting.
Happy Fourth of July, and on to the raid reports.
Here's the Team Kaels report from Ninotchka:
I've been sentenced to a day of heavy housecleaning for bad behavior, so I must make this brief.
Last week, Team Kaels looked deep inside our souls and realized that we really really really wanted to kill Lei Shen. And so we did. It was a tremendous relief. I was floating on a cloud for hours.
That means that this week, we started heroics! And, ouch! We've been used to treating Jin'rokh as a speed bump on the way to more interesting fights. I don't think I flasked for him the last three times we fought. Well, heroic Jin'rokh is getting his revenge for the cavalier way we treated regular Jin'rokh. A whole new lightning dance to learn. Oh joy. We had one pull where we got him to 9% with two people dead, so we know we have the mechanics down it's just a case of getting an attempt where we don't make too many mistakes. It's a fun fight, though. I look forward to having this one on farm.

Here's Pamena with the Team RubiPam and Saturday Night Massacre reports:
Team RubiPam has nothing to report, except thanks to Zarjah, Chanta's hunter alt, for coming in as our Monday night sub for Heinkel for the next few weeks. We appreciate it!
Saturday Night Massacre - we went back to our old pattern last week of doing a round of world bosses, then a guild LFR, all very successful. This coming Saturday, if we get enough guildies on at 9PM, we can try heroic Ragnaros, to finish the FIrelands raid achievement - it would help if we had a few folks who've done Rags before. He was cake on normal a few weeks ago, but I imagine heroic will be a bit more challenging, although not that difficult I hope. Then we'll go on to Throne of the Four Winds. We also need to finish up heroic Dragon Soul, but I've been putting that one off as long as possible, as it has just been a year since Team Kaels and Team RP were in there on heroic, and I'm STILL bored with it. Nonetheless, we'll get to it in the next few weeks.

And finally, the Team Z report from Moodyloner:
So, we got Garalon to seven percent.
Seven. Bloody. Percent.
Next week.

That's all I have for this week.
For the Horde!
