Good morning, and let's hear it for normal! Welcome to Saturday Morning Garden Blogging.
Yes, Denver had normal July weather in July.
Temperatures stayed within normal ranges — no record highs, no record lows — a huge difference from last year's hottest July ever.
We got a well-established monsoon season — the rain totals for the month are within normal range and most afternoons we've seen clouds piled like meringue on a lemon pie.
Meanwhile, the melon plants are doing a fine Audrey II imitation in the veggie patch. And no, it's not just lots of vegetation; there are dozens of baby melons on the vines. Now I'm anxiously waiting for them to ripen.
That's what's happening here. What's going on in your gardens?
