From Talking Points Memo:
In an announcement Tuesday, Maryland Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown said that the Baltimore Ravens will partner with the state to educate the public on open enrollment for the health insurance marketplace slated to begin Oct. 1. According to the announcement, the Ravens will team up with Maryland Health Connection to "connect with Maryland residents about the importance of developing a health coverage game plan."
In June, Senate Republican leaders warned six professional sports leagues — including the National Football League — against assisting the administration in promoting Obamacare. The NFL responded by saying it had no plans to get involved with Obamacare, but league commissioner Roger Goodell said Wednesday that teams are free to help promote the law if they wish.
