A mildly amusing side light on the ongoing Meta wars.
Back in July I wrote a brief diary with a poll asking who thought Pres. Obama was one of our worst Presidents ever. It slipped away after attracting a moderate response in which 12% of the respondents opined that he was one of the worst or the worst President ever.
Several weeks later I happened to mention this poll to another commentator in an unrelated thread. This commentator was of the opinion that folks with a negative opinion of the President constituted a majority of Kossacks.
Now I admitted up front that the poll was entirely unscientific and didn't really prove anything but I thought it might interest the other commentator.
Over the weeks since, the number of negative respondents has climbed from 12% to 38%, more than double what it had been.
I find this both humorous and fascinating. The idea that word of this dead diary could have spread to so many and that they would feel compelled to pump up the President's negatives in an obscure corner of DKos can only make me smile.
Apparently, some folks have entirely too much free time on their hands.
4:58 PM PT: Even as I was posting this the number has risen to 39%. Well it is Sunday after all.
