Unless you want to be monitored by the Department of Homeland Secuirty. If you didn't think we had arrived at Orwell's 1984 yet, you can rest easy.. We are there!
A freedom of informaiton request has forced the department of Homeland Security to release a list of key words and phrases it uses to monitor social networking sites and other on-line media for signs of terrorist and other threats agasint the U.S.
A chilling online article by the Daily Mail outlines the offending words....follow me over the orange squiggly, I think you are in for a suprise...
The intriguing list includes obvious choices such as : attack, Al-Qaeda, dirty bomb and terrorism, alongside dozens of seemingly innocent words like : pork, cloud, team, and Mexico.
Released under a freedomm of information act request, the informatin sheds new light on how govoernment analysts are instructed to patrol the internet searching for domestic and external threats

The article goes on to include the entire list, The sub-categories (with some of the words) include: DOMESTIC SECURITY: first responder, initiatve, drill, excercise, and cops
HAZMAT AND NUCLEAR: cloud, leak, plume, exposure and infection
HEALTH CONCERN: outbreak, exposure, pork, mutaiton, and agriculture
INFRASTRUCTURE SECURITY: Amtrak, port, dock, bridge, and grid
SOUTHWEST BORDER VIOLENCE : Mexico, San Diego ( where I live!), cartel, Colombia, and border
I mean you get the drift. You better watch out, that seemingly innocent word you are typing on whatever social networking site you are on could trigger a homeland security investigation! To all you gun nuts out there worried about the Govt. taking away your beloved firearms...that's the least of your worries.. If you are worried about Govt. intrusion, you don't have to look any further then your facebook page! they don't need your guns , they already have you by the cojones..
You see, that's what we say here in San Diego because it is so close to the border of Mexico where I live with my wife from Colombia OOPS I better stop typing....
11:43 AM PT: Thanks for the rec list! Sorry about all the typos, I was laughing so hard, I couldn't see straight..
