After waiting for the medical examiner to deem the the death a homicide the nation collectively wonders if police will now act in this shooting death. The shooter is obviously not a minority or economically disadvantaged or they would have been jailed immediately.
An autopsy report on a 19-year-old woman, who was shot and killed on a front porch in Detroit, determined that she was shot in the face, and a medical examiner ruled her death a homicide Monday.
Renisha McBride was shot on Nov. 2 with “no evidence of close range discharge,” according to a report released by the Wayne County Medical Examiner.
McBride’s family said that she had gotten into a car accident and was shot by a man whose house she approached in an attempt to seek help. The external portion of the autopsy report said McBride’s clothing was wet.
Since 9/11 we have had our media focus on fear 24/7. Treating strangers as hostile is a natural result of being fed constant fear. Having Birchers with an (ALEC) cloak writing laws that are based on racial animus has negatively contributed to this trend as seen in the Trayvon Martin murder.
Can the police stop protecting this person that murdered an unarmed woman seeking help now?
