Well! What a ride.......
Who knew that the Tenth Doctor was married to Elizabeth the First? Who knew that Lop-Eared Rabbits could be so dangerous? Who knew that we would see a surprise appearance by a FOURTH Doctor?
Utterly splendid, well worth the wait - the 50th Anniversary Episode was the jewel in the crown, and the fans thought so, too!

The use of the Tower of London is about as good as it gets, and it is always a delight to see Jemma Redgrave, a genuine fourth-generation acting wonder (although she did say that the location shooting in Trafalgar Square was the coldest and wettest she ever been on a set).
As usual with a Doctor Who 'finale' - and this felt like one - some things are resolved, some questions are raised. Amongst these is the question - will the Doctor make a return to Gallifrey? Will we see more of UNIT (the Tower of London sets looked remarkably like Torchwood).
