Say what you want about Senator Cory Booker (D. NJ), but I always enjoyed how he used Twitter to help out with his constituents when he was Mayor of Newark. I was afraid he would stop using Twitter as much when he became a U.S. Senator but that fear has been put to rest:

Cory Booker might be keeping a low profile on the Hill, but in New Jersey, he’s up to his old do-gooder ways. The former Newark mayor direct messaged a Mount Holly resident on Twitter on Sunday afternoon offering to help dig him out of the snow on his way back to D.C.
Mike Davis, whose Twitter picture shows him posing with Gov. Chris Christie, tweeted at Booker with a picture of his vehicles snowed into the driveway.
@CoryBooker can you come dig us out in Mt Holly? pic.twitter.com/MCzazeznSx
Booker responded within minutes with his phone number and an offer to stop by on his way out of New Jersey.

Here's a little more info:

Booker, who has 1.4 million followers on Twitter, exchanged messages with a resident of Mt. Holly on Sunday, who tweeted the senator a photo of snow-covered cars next to a snow covered lawn.
In a subsequent tweet, Booker sent the man his cell number before adding: "Text me if u need me. Love ur town! #SundayShoutOut to Mt. Holly! Covered in snow but still a hot town." - AP, 12/8/13
Glad to see him continue to use social media to help out with his constituents.
I also wanted to bring up Booker because with the momentum for expanding Social Security escalating, it's going to put Booker in the spotlight and make good on his campaign promise:

Democratic New Jersey U.S. Senate candidate Cory Booker said he supports expanding Social Security and Medicare hours following a press conference Thursday where his opponents challenged the popular Newark mayor on the issue.
The Progressive Change Campaign Committee held a morning rally in Trenton with Booker's opponents, Rep. Frank Pallone, Rep. Rush Holt and Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver pressing Booker on the Social Security issue. Later Booker took to Twitter to say that he wants to expand, not cut Social Security and Medicare, and that he opposes raising the retirement age. A week ago Booker told NorthJersey.com that he would consider voting to raise the retirement age for those in their 20s or younger.
In response to a tweet from Adam Green, the PCCC's co-founder, Booker said that he believes that tying Social Security benefits to the Consumer Price Index or a change in the retirement age would constitute cuts to the program. - Huffington Post, 8/1/13
Congresswoman, honorary Third Way co-chair and gubernatorial candidate Allyson Schwartz (D. PA-13) recently threw her support behind the Protecting & Preserving Social Security Act authored by Senator Mark Begich (D. AK) and Rep. Ted Deutch (D. FL). I say we put the pressure on Booker to become a co-sponsor of Senators Begich and Tom Harkin's (D. IA) bill to expand Social Security. You can contact Booker to make good on that promise here:
