Today I went to sign up for Obamacare since today was supposed to be the deadline. I had to do it through a certain clinic since I receive a certain medication from them which was being covered under my previous plan so it was very important that I chose a plan that covered this medication. I am currently a full time student over 30 years old who works part and gets student loans. According to the US government for the money I make and what I am worth I qualified me for medicare/medical. My problem is this. I don't want medicare/medical/ I want to be able to choose a plan, get a subsidy and pay a monthly fee just like everyone else but because I qualify for medicare/cal I don't get the choice of medicare/cal or a regular plan. I really think that is wrong. If I want to pick a plan that I actually pay for and I get better coverage then I should have that right instead of being stuck medicare/cal where I will no doubt have less coverage, less treatment options and where I will be treated like a second class citizen (unfortunately).
