The Daily Bucket is a regular feature of the Backyard Science group. It is a place to note any observations of the natural world. Birds, blooms, bugs and more, all are worthy additions to the bucket. Please let us know what is going on around you in the comments, with location as close as you care to share.

Howdy! Look at what I found while sorting thru old pots and cleaning up around flower beds.
I'm calling it a Camo Mantis. Too lazy to look it up in Bug Guide today but if anyone wants to jump in with the proper name and relevant facts, you know what to do.
And it was not happy when I flopped it over. The flat surface did not allow it any leverage to flip back. Note the spider that was quick to flee my disturbing probes.
Rainy this morning in Tallahassee - a good day for a bucket. Not a lot on the radar but what there is, is right over me. The shirt and towel I left on the line last night is sure not going to dry anytime soon. 60s now and high today around 70. Cold snap (down to 30º) expected this weekend. So what's going on in your neck of the woods?
