So after the 2012 election demonstrated that Karl Rove's "America is Center-Right" mantra was simply wrong, the used-to-be Fox News contributor has now decided that at least the Republican Party will still be Center-Right. And to make this happen he needs to get rid of the Real-Right of the Republican Party, namely, the Tea Party. So now his Super-Pac Crossroads is going to start spending money not on defeating Democrats, but supporting Republicans who face primary challanges from the right!
The new group is called the
Conservative Victory Project, even though its efforts will be aimed at derailing the political ambitions of individuals who, if nothing else, consider themselves to be the true conservatives.
But now that the Center-Right favorite Scott Brown has said that he's bailing out of the Massachusetts Senate race, all of a sudden one or two Tea Partry idiots winning primaries and thus handing the Democrats a couple of more seats and guess what? The Senate goes back to being 65-55 Center-Left, and there goes the country. Could you ever imagine Republicans raising money to defeat other Republicans? Is it really happening?
