After two rounds of action and nearly 120,000 votes in the 2013 Daily Kos Republican March to Madness tournament, we've got our Insane 16:

So far, all the #1 seeds have survived, but three double-digit seeds—#15 Ann Coulter, #10 Pat Robertson, and #10 Wayne LaPierre—made to the Insane 16, demonstrating the incredible depth of the conservative bench when it comes to being batshit crazy.
There won't be a George W. Bush vs. Dick Cheney matchup, but the Insane 16 nonetheless features some epic battles: Rush Limbaugh v. Glenn Beck, Calgary Cruz vs. Michele Bachmann, and Steve King vs. Rand Paul.
Of the 16 hopefuls to make it the third round, four probably wouldn't have made it a couple years ago: Cruz, Paul, Rubio, and Santorum. The first three are just starting out in their wingnut careers and Santorum revived his with a surprisingly strong presidential campaign. The mix old old and new is yet another testimony to the enduring capacity of the GOP to produce lunatics as their party's standard bearers.
So, who's your pick to win it all? What matchups are you rooting to see in the Crazy 8? Voting in the Insane 16 will begin on Thursday, just like the college tournament. The Crazy 8 will begin on Saturday and by Monday morning we'll have picked The Freakshow Four, from which a Champion of the 2013 Republican March to Madness tournament will be selected.
