Large Marg is The Green Veterans Bus. The poor dear had a mid-engine fire causing her to become disabled. The ambulance [well, the wrecker] bill amounts to $2,000. Cost of repair is still to be determined. Currently the bus along with Kossack Gordon Soderberg head of The Green Bus Project, are stuck in Vinton, just east of Roanoke, Va.
Bringing Far Rockaway, New York Back to Life
Those of you who live in New York or have family and friends who do, probably recall during the cleanup following Sandy a great deal of praise was given to the Veterans and
Team Rubicon. The Veterans Green Bus served as their disaster relief headquarters - and Gordon along with those Veterans who worked with him were there kept at it for
five months!
The Green Bus is a disaster relief headquarters on wheels. Gordon and his posse are capable of heading straight into the heart of any disaster. They can set up a base camp, and establish an internet connection where there is no power. Immediately these Veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq can provide some direction and guidance to people devastated by the latest disaster. They are good at it, too. Ask Bill Clinton. The by-product is that those Veterans with PTSD working on disaster relief discover value in their own lives.

Ok, folks. Gordon Soderberg needs your help. Exactly how much Gordon isn't sure. But let's take on the first goal - getting Large Marg out of jail. That's two grand. After Gordon laid that figure down, and since he is a veteran, I pressed him. He has a rental car. Then he's staying in a motel. And, of course he has annoying habit of having to eat.
