I'm working on a project with a fellow writer (and working on my PhD dissertation, too), and as the artist, my portraits of the characters often reveal a lot of nuances. These are pretty much unplanned on my part -- I'm actually not a visual person and I don't "see" images of the character in my mind or "see" the art before I draw it. It just sort of shows up at the end of my drawing tools and I'm as amused and surprised as anyone (most artists can visualize. I'm one of the few that doesn't.)
So, "Sam" turned out to be a very very very very very(!) silly and enthusiastic sled dog. Since I've been such a slacker about doing diaries, I thought I'd share a very low-rez sample of art instead.
