The news has been pretty awful lately with Congress living up to it's reputation of being less popular than VD and cockroaches and Gov. Walker trying to sell off state assets to fix a great big hole in his budget (yes, we might soon have the WalMart Dorms on the campus of the University of Wisconsin and the Koch Brothers Energy Plant Complex if Walker has his way). Yuck. I need some relief, I found it, and I'm always willing to share.
Time for a break from the Republican scandal mongering and other dismal news. I found it today at Blue Cheddars site in the form of a video from a Wisconsin organic dairy farmer in western Wisconsin who had his camera running when he led his cows out for the first time after a long cold winter.
I've never ever seen cows run or jump or dance since they're usually mellow with a relaxed walk. But these cows were overjoyed at the fresh food in the pasture - the first they'd seen in a long time.
Here's the result:
If that doesn't bring a smile to your face, nothing will.
And here's the more info on that fabulous family farm with those happy cows.
