I just found this out from a great email, and I can't even find this info on MSNBC's site!
MSNBC's "The Rachel Maddow Show" will broadcast live from Elizabeth City, North Carolina on Thursday, August 22 at 9 p.m. ET. Maddow will devote the full hour broadcast to exploring the North Carolina voting revisions signed into law last week.
Thanks BroadwayWorld.com!
I'm going to try and find it online or go find a neighbor with cable, heh heh heh...
Update: friendly emailer sent these links:
Local TV station
http://www.witn.com/...
(they could use some support in the comments)
Local Newspaper
http://www.dailyadvance.com/...
ECSU Facebook page has the announcement but no details
https://www.facebook.com/...
Go to the comments mentioned in the first link, you know what to do ;-)
Now off to my appt. late (the dog picked now to do her Houdini trick, and I had to get her first, but glad to get these links up!)
The nice person who emailed me is not even a Kossack, yet she wants to join the Triangle Kosmopolitans (via mailing list, which is still in the works, stay tuned).
So remember folks, there are lots of people reading what's available here who aren't or won't become members. We are speaking to them sometimes even more than to each other. See this great diary on that subject.
I'd write more but I don't even have cable so I can't answer any questions about how to watch this (although WTH doesn't MSNBC.com provide this info?) and I need to go to an appointment.
As usual if you're a resident or just care a lot about NC, ask for an invite to North Carolina BLUE
If additionally you live in the Triangle, ask also for an invite to the Triangle Kosmopolitans.
Thanks.
I seek forgiveness in advance for the short diary, I wanted to get the info out ASAP.
If anyone else posts on this, I'll gladly delete, after I get back to my computer.
