The entire field – including 9 Republicans, 2 Democrats and one Independent – was invited to participate.
Tonight's questions were selected by St. Paul's seniors taking government and economics.
The candidates are vying for the seat vacated Aug. 2 by former U.S. Rep. Jo Bonner, R-Mobile, who left to take a job as a chancellor at the University of Alabama System in Tuscaloosa.
It’s the second of three debates in three days, as the campaigns roll into the Sept. 24 primary election.
Both Democratic candidates running in this special election race are Burton LeFlore and Lula Albert-Kaigler
Video coverage of the debate is below the fold.
